Native to Asia and also called carambola, this evergreen tree is cultivated in tropical regions for its edible fruit that produces a star-shaped fruit. The thin skin is edible, and juicy, slightly crisp with a delicate flavor.

The outside color is yellow to orange, longitudinally ridged.
