Mango Ordering and Handling

The fruit should be handle at 55° F (12.8° C), humidity 85% to 90% and do not mist the fruit. Mangoes are ethylene producers and should not be stored or transported with commodities that produce ethylene.

Black spotting pinhead-size is not a defect of the fruit, but a characteristic of some varieties such as Haden.

Avoid mangoes that have a grayish discoloration of the skin or wilted.
